I'm an Atlanta-based feature writer with particular expertise in tea, the animal advocacy movement, and social/cultural issues.

In the past, I earned a B.A. in journalism and then worked as a full-time newspaper reporter. Now I direct communications at a nonprofit organization, while also writing for various publications as a freelance journalist. Primarily, I'm a writer and editor for Eighty Degrees, an international, print-only magazine about tea culture. I'm also a regular contributing writer for Atlanta Magazine.

To inform my writing on tea and culture, I assist with operations for a matcha cafe, study Japanese language, and play in a Central Javanese gamelan, and I travel frequently.
